Tests for Drivers

Dear professional drivers, candidates for this profession, and driving instructors. We have prepared a psychological test to examine the capabilities of drivers. Testing is in accordance with applicable law relating to § 87a of Act No. 411/2005 Coll. as amended, and fully replaces the complicated and lengthy testing by a psychologist, which may last several hours and subjects the driver to a test battery and requires answers to questions of a very private nature.

It is necessary to undertake psychological testing to obtain the qualification for drivers of buses and trucks over 7.5 tonnes, and those carrying out this activity as a profession. This is the group of driving licenses C, C + E, C1 + E, D, D + E, D1 and D1 + E. Such psychological tests need to be completes before starting work, and then before reaching the age of 50, and then every subsequent five years.

How and under what circumstances can the testing be done?

  • If you are a company that already provides a mass-psychological examination of its drivers, then you can order your own tailored approach to the assessment of driving competence by means of the WORKtest system, provided that there is a psychologist present in your workplace who will be responsible for the proper conduct of testing, which takes place in accordance with mandatory rules. Testing can therefore take place in the workplace.

  • make an order by simply visiting: http://www.worktest.cz/en/companies-registration.php, and select the section, special audit entry qualifications for drivers of motor and rail vehicles and insert the number of credits, i.e. the number of tests you would like to order.
  • you will receive an automatically generated invoice and, after payment is made, then an interface system for testing and generating results will be made available.
  • if the client is a company, then a member of our staff will make contact as to draw up a binding agreement between the supplier and the operator.
  • the price of the test is 1,560 CZK including VAT

  • PERSONALITY - MORAL CHARACTER - ability to make moral evaluations, stability, personality, responsibility for entrusted values, friendliness, fairness, courtesy, politeness, interest in and identification with the profession and role of professional drivers, willingness to advise and assist in traffic accidents.
  • MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL STABILITY - ability to make psychological evaluations, empathic, socially mature, mentally resilient and stable, ability to cope with adverse and critical situations, adaptable and tolerant, confident and sure of one's self.
  • RISK BEHAVIOUR DURING TRANSPORT SITUATIONS - ability to evaluate carelessness, irresponsibility, reliance on probability, negligence, aggression, hostility, risk in traffic situations, risk propensity, tendency to show off, thrill-seeking, restlessness, distractibility, a tendency to substance abuse, fatigue and burnout.
  • PERCEPTION OF ADEQUATE WORK AND STIMULUS - ability to make cognitive evaluations and understand cognitive processes, visual perception in traffic situations (quality and speed), spatial perception and imagination, perception and attention (quality and speed), attention and concentration, perception and response during situations of stress and fatigue , activation and motivation, sensorimotor coordination, the ability to eliminate error making and inadequate response, visual memory, spatial memory and awareness, systematic, showing foresight.
  • REACTIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES - ability to evaluate readiness to respond, response and motor skills, reaction alert.
  • PSYCHOLOGICAL STATE - ability to evaluate mental state, resilient to frustration, obstacles and disturbances, conflicts and their prevention and management, ability to work under stress, pressure and strain, ability to overcome obstacles, resilient to fatigue and monotony.
